Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox, born 25th December 1954, in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson is her mother as is Thomas Allison Lennox, father. Lennox won a scholarship award to study at London's Royal Academy of Music for three years. Lennox survived off an allowance for students, and worked part-time in order to earn a living. While in the Royal Academy Lennox was dissatisfied by her performance when compared with her peers and was contemplating a different path she might follow. Lennox was initially musician in the band Dragons Playground. She left the band prior to their appearance as a guest on I.T.V's talent program New Faces. She was the singer in The Tourists a British pop band between 1977 and the year 1980. She met Dave Stewart, with whom she would form the pop-duo Eurythmics. Lennox was working on her own debut album Diva. It was released in 1993. The album received a lot of praise, both from the press and critics. Nostalgia Lennox's sixth solo album was released in November 2014. This C.D. The C.D. is composed of Lennox's most loved soul, jazz and blues songs of her youth. Lepidoptera is a compilation of four songs that were improvised by piano, which Lennox has released in May 2019. The E.P. This is the companion album to her Now I let you go... artwork, which was displayed at Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. This is also her first self-released album. Annie Lennox was born in 1954 on December 25. She is an activist, philanthropist, and singer. The Tourists had a minor popularity in the latter part of the 1970s. Lennox, along with Dave Stewart, a fellow musician, went on to become famous internationally in the 1990s when they formed the Eurythmics. Lennox started her solo career by releasing her first album Diva in the year 1992. The album was the inspiration of many hits songs such as"Why" and "Walking in Broken Glass. Medusa a studio album released in 1995, has versions of some of her most popular songs including No MoreI Still Love Yous (and The Whiter Shade of Pale). She is credited with seven studio albums by herself as well as a compilation.
