Maureen Denise McCormick, the only daughter of Richard McCormick, and Irene McCormick, was born in Woodland Hills California on 5 August 1956. She was the home of her mother as a mother. Michael Dennis, Kevin and Dennis are her three older brothers. McCormick started singing and performing from a young age. McCormick won in the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley Contest when she was just 6 years old and was then contacted by Pat Domigan, a talent agent with the Jack Wormser Agency. He was interested in her desire to join the show business. McCormick was hired to star in her first major part in 1964, in the tv spot for Mattels new doll, Baby Pattaburp. The year that followed, she appeared in another television commercial for Chatty Cathy's doll. Soon afterward, McCormick was chosen by La Jolla Playhouse to play the role of the character It up and It breaks. The Brady Bunch In 1969 McCormick was chosen from a field of 1200 children who auditioned to be the youngest of three towheaded girls in the upcoming TV show The Brady Bunch starring Florence Henderson as well as Robert Reed as newlyweds with the family of a blended couple. The run of five years for the show proved to be a huge successful one. McCormick wrote in her book Heres the Story Surviving Marcia Brady And Finding My True Voice Published in 2008 McCormick disclosed that during the 5th season of the TV show, she nearly lost her virginity with her brother Barry Williams. The actress was sixteen years old, and the actor aged 19 at the at the time. She said that it would have been feasible, but it was never the best time to do it.
